 On April 29 th, Grappling-X returned to Long Beach for the Southern California North, No Gi Championships. The LBC never fails to deliver on submission grappling action. Youth N Motion Academy took the top team award and also won first place in the kids team divisions, with The Fight Lab and Millennia MMA taking second and third respectively. Paragon Santa Barbara won the top adult team spot with Fight Club 29 taking second and 10 th Planet Van Nuys grabbing third. It was a great day of martial arts and we would like to thank everyone who participated and contributed to the event. |

Jiu-jitsu Black Belt, wrestling expert and former MMA fighter, Cory Cass, gave two free seminars (one for kids and one for adults) at the Ribeiro affiliated Outliers Jiu-jitsu in Santee California. Cass was well received by all of the participants. Cass demonstrated many techniques that are not found in standard grappling curriculum. Cass’ ability to blend wrestling and jiu-jitsu gave those in attendance new ways to view grappling as a whole. GX would like to thank Outliers instructor, Jeremy Barden, for his hospitality and dedication to the martial arts.

On Saturday March 10th Grappling-X returned to Elk Grove for the Northern California NoGi Championships. The competition was top notch, and all the participants represented well. Napa BJJ, Modesto Power and Nor Cal Fight Factory won the top team spots respectively. Team Quest Redding also made noise on the mats. Grappling-X looks forward to returning to Elk Grove in the near future. We would like to thank all of the spectators and athletes that came out to support NorCal submission grappling! |
