Long Beach was back online with Grappling-X on April 21st. This was our second of two fundraiser events and the athletes and fans did not disappoint. Blackline Training Center won the top kids and teen award with BJJ Revolution and All American Jiu-jitsu taking second and third place respectively. In the adult division it was 10th Planet Costa Mesa taking the top spot with Fight Strong MMA going home with second place and the marines of Fight Club 29 taking third. Again, Grappling-X would like to thank all of you who have stood with us over the years. There many more good things to come in 2013! Oss!

On March 17th the Grappling-X nation merged with its younger sibling, Operation Grapple, for one of the most stacked in-house tournaments in recent history. The majority of the competitors were allowed to compete for free due to their participation in the GX San Diego tournament in February. This was another way the GX family supports those who have supported us.
Gracie Humaita Eastlake took home the first place team award with Paul Silva/Carlson Gracie Team and Selva BJJ taking second and third respectively. GX and Operation Grapple would like to thank all of you who took part in this event. |
On March 2nd Grappling-X returned to Morro Bay for the Golden State Central Coast Gi Championships. The combatants brought both skill and passion to the mats. The spectators and even the GX staff left impressed with the athletic performances showcased that day.
Paragon Santa Maria took the first place team prize with Dethrone Base Camp/Synergy and Paragon SLO taking second and third place respectively. Team Cleber Elite also represented well. GX looks forward to our next competition in MB. Thank you Morro Bay! |
Everyone here at Grappling-X would like to thank all of the competitors, spectators and staff who came out to support us in this time of need. Because of you the San Diego tournament held on February 24th was top notch, despite the circumstances. The competition was excellent and the athletes really put on a show.
The first place Kid’s Team Award went to Paul Silva Jiu-jitsu/Carlson Gracie Team with Gracie Humaita San Diego and Ribeiro Jiu-jitsu Outliers taking second and third place respectively. In the adult division, Gracie Humaita San Diego won the top prize with Ribeiro Jiu-Jitsu San Diego taking second and BJJ Revolution/New Breed placing third.
